CENTRAL STATION MONITORING

In case you are unfamiliar with Central Station monitoring, it is a privately operated communications center where signals generated by your home or commercial alarm system are sent via telephone, radio, or other communicator. Trained personnel at the Central Station then determine the appropriate response (Police, Fire Department, Service, etc.), and notify the correct authority to come to your aid. Jade Alarm Co. has been providing this service in the K.C. area for over 40 years, and many of our customers take comfort in knowing that we are here in Kansas City where they can dial a local phone number, and reach us 24 hours a day. |

FireNet WIRELESS ALARM COMMUNICATION

A requirement of most commercial fire alarm systems is to have redundant connections to the central monitoring location. Historically, this meant connection to two separate, expensive, P.O.T.S. (Plain Old Telephone Service) telephone lines. In response to our customer's concern over the expense of maintaining two dedicated phone lines and the increase of VOIP-only service areas--most alarm systems cannot communicate reliably using VOIP--Jade Alarm began building a new wireless "mesh" alarm communications system in early 2009. By employing a mesh configuration, each subscriber radio communicator becomes a repeater for all other nearby units on the network, thus providing multiple redundant communication paths to the Central Station. Jade Alarm's FireNet wireless communicator could be a lower-cost, faster and more reliable method of monitoring your fire alarm. |

Most burglar and fire alarms rely upon your standard telephone service to communicate alarms to a central monitoring center where trained personnel dispatch the appropriate emergency or service response. But, what happens if an inventive burglar or weather event causes disruption of your telephone service? Although your local bell/siren may announce the alarm, the signal cannot be sent to the monitoring center.
That is, unless your alarm system has a means of back-up communication. Jade Alarm Company has installed and maintains it's own radio back-up network which is completely independent of any telephone utility, (and is available to all our customers). |

SILENT HOLD-UP ALARMS

Jade Alarm Company can add a reliable wireless receiver to most existing security systems for the protection of family members or employees. Each person may then carry a pendant or belt-clip transmitter which can provide instant communication with our 24 hour monitoring center to summon help when it is needed. These devices are used extensively by "high risk" workers for emergency panic or "hold-up" signaling, but also add to your home security (e.g. when working in the yard, going to and from your car parked in the driveway, or kept on the night stand next to your bed). Wireless billtraps and traditional 'hard-wired' hold-up buttons are also available. |
