Sunday I received a received phone call from a distraught business owner of a high end liquor & cigar shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon discovering the burglary, he saw my company secured the Jewelry store next door and placed a phone call to Jade Alarm. I immediately responded to his store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving, I was handed the Medeco lock cylinder and told this is how the burglars got in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had cut the phone lines, defeating the alarm system and the video camera system had been out of service at the time of the thieves attacking the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several tens of thousands of dollars in high end liquor and cigars now were missing. The insurance company was now having to be notified and normal business was interrupted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I explained to the owner to closely examine the Medeco lock cylinder as the lock had NOT been defeated, the anti-drill pins Medeco is famous for had done their job!<\/em><\/strong> This was a ruse\u2014 a \u2018red herring\u2019! In my opinion the door had been unlocked with a Medeco key and THEN the thieves drilled the lock\u2014in attempt to throw any investigation \u2018off\u2019 and in a different direction. Ownership needs to look at anyone who had been issued a non-duplicable Medeco key!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

upwards of $1,500 for after hours or weekends\/holiday service charge).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*SecureNet radio to ensure monitoring despite phone line\/internet interruptions cutting or cell jamming!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Extended backup battery power in the event the power is disconnected\u2014a favorite scheme these days!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
