Underwriter Laboratories ( U.L. ) mandates for commercial mercantile systems a minimum  of 4-hours of standby backup power for security alarm systems in the event the main AC  power fails (or is disrupted by thieves). Jade Alarm has available extended power for customers who realize even 12-hours is not enough to ensure their security alarm system  will continue to properly operate during a power crisis. Above is an example of a system  utilizing our extended power supply—sometimes allowing up to 5-days of backup power.
